An Evening of Mariachi!
On Saturday evening, March 7th, The Elgin Symphony Orchestra will welcome Mariachi Acero de Las Vegas in a collaborated concert led by renowned conductor, Arturo Rodriguez!
This will be an unforgettable night of Mariachi from Jalisco to Veracruz. Mariachi Acero will complement the beautiful words by famed arranger Francisco Grijalva, retired member of the world renowned Mariachi Cobre.
The ESO is excited to collaborate with Mariachi Acero for this one of a kind performance. Hailed from Las Vegas, Mariachi Acero takes pride in learning the most recent contemporary Marachi “Exitos” of today, while preserving the classic “Canciones” of yesterday.
Orchestrator and conductor Arturo Rodríguez is a Mozart Medal winner (1996) and a Sundance Film Institute composer fellow (2010).
